Weight loss

Hi,

I am currently about 35 lbs over weight.I started going to Curves in October.In my first weigh in I have lost 4 lbs and a total of 7 inches.During the holidays I still went,but only like 2 days a week and even skipped some.I ate badly too.Now Im ready to really get serious.I have been doing good since the new year started.I guess my question is what should I be eating to help the weight loss and how many times should I exercise.I also want to know what happens if you cheat once in awhile.I know its bad,but I dont do it often at all.Actually this weekend has been the fisrt time since the new year I really did bad.HOw long does the weight take to come off.I know I asked several questions,but sometimes I feel it will never get off and I get very discouraged because I want to look like I used to.
