Thys and legs
i cant afford to buy workout videos and i have no time to workout between my busy scedule. walking has done nothing for my thys but it does a lot for my hips. what workout is cheap and dosnt take to much time?
Try squats and lunges, holding weights in your hands (start at 5 pounds if you have never exercised with weights--otherwise you might want to start with more). But doing muscle conditioning exercises, though it WILL build up your muscle, will NOT burn off the fat. Do 2-4 sets of four or five reps of each.
If you've been walking a while and it no longer helps you, that means your body has 'reset' itself--you need to vary your workout, and try some cardio that raises your heartbeat.
Get a heart rate monitor. Your maximum heart rate is about 220 minus your age. Multiply this number by .65 (or .55 if you're generally unfit). This number is 55/65% of your max heart rate, and when you do any kind of cardio, your heart rate should meet or exceed this number. You said you don't have much time in your schedule, so split up the exercise. Do a heart-pumping cardio exercise like jogging or running for 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes on your lunch break, and 10 minutes after work. You'll get in 30 minutes of exercise a day! Do this 5 days a week, and the 'toning' exercises 2-4 days a week in addition, and your legs WILL improve. It seems like a lot, but you should find it pretty easy to fit into your schedule if you try.

If you have a library close you can borrow workout videos. Pilates is great and it doesnt take much time. I like windsor pilates myself. You can also find alot of workout videos at second hand stores or garage sales. They usually cost no more then a dollar.
