How to lose weight and really keep it off!!
I have lost and gained weight several times over my lifetime, but now for my health and also my husband's health, I (we) need to keep the weight he has left off and I need to get off the weight and keep it off. The question is simple, HOW?
I know it may sound crazy but I have been using WeightWatchers for a few years and find that it works as long as you are honest with yourself and willing to use the program the way that it is intended, I am using the POINTS Program and it works very well, I came to this site to find some more support for my weight loss. I'm with Blondie! WeightWatchers Points is the best way to go. Not online. Go to a location close to you (home or work). Once you get moving on WW, you'll realize that you can actually get to your weight goal and do what they call 'LIFETIME' which means you go in (at a minimum) once a month to weigh-in and it costs NOTHING!! As long as you don't go more than 2 lbs over your goal weight (which you set) -- it's free. The catch to that is lose about 5 lbs less than your goal weight and you'll be able to manage it better and you'll have the motivation to keep it down.
WW is the best in my opinion because you learn how to eat healthier (no on is packaging your food). You're not a slave to a 'PROGRAM' that they box up (and you pay for -- the food). You learn to 'fish' instead of the fish being caught and but in a box for you :)
I lost 40 lbs and have kept it off for some time now.
